The IRS has released the inflation-adjusted, calendar-year 2016 amounts for high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) and health savings accounts (HSAs), as determined under § 223 of the Internal Revenue Code. The 2016 HDHP family-coverage limit for HSA contributions will increase. The 2016 HDHP out-of-pocket limits (which include deductibles, copayments and other amounts, but not premiums) will also increase. All other amounts will remain at 2015 levels.

The Taxation of Employee Benefits section of the Employment Law Manual has been updated with all of the 2016 amounts, and a Legal Timetable entry has been added.
