Arizona: Discrimination Ordinance to Take Effect in Tempe

The Arizona EEO - Discrimination, EEO - Harassment, Terms of Employment and Performance Appraisals sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated to reflect the Tempe, AZ, antidiscrimination ordinance prohibiting employers from discriminating on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, familial status, age, disability, US military veteran status, sexual orientation and gender identity. The ordinance will take effect on March 29, 2014.

Further, changes have been made to the EEO Protected Classes by State and Municipality chart and the LGBT Rights by State chart.
