California Amends Paid Sick and Safe Time Law: Handbook Statement Updated

California amended provisions of the Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act to address various provisions of the newly enacted paid sick and safe time law, e.g., accrual provisions, how employers pay employees for time off and more. The new amendments took effect on July 13, 2015.

Based on this development, the Paid Sick and Safe Time Handbook Statement: California has been updated.
