California Content Updated to Reflect New Ban the Box Law

The California Preemployment Screening and Testing, Employment Offer, Employee Privacy and Negligent Hiring sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated to include a new law effective July 1, 2014 that prohibits state and local government employers from asking criminal history questions on job applications. +2013 Bill Tracking CA A.B. 218.
