An employer can protect its competitive edge by requiring its employees to sign a noncompete agreement, nonsolicitation agreement and/or nondisclosure agreement, and by implementing policies protecting its confidential and proprietary information. However, a current or former employee may engage in activities that violate such agreements or policies. For such situations, XpertHR has added a Cease and Desist Letter, with which an employer can demand that the employee stop engaging in the prohibited activity and threaten legal action if he or she continues to do so.
