Day of Rest Laws: New Chart Added, Employment Law Manual Enhanced
Author: Michael Cardman, XpertHR Legal Editor
Many states require employers to provide employees with a day of rest on Sundays, on their Sabbath, or when they have worked a certain number of hours or days in a row.
To help employers comply with these laws, XpertHR has added a new chart, Day of Rest Requirements by State, and a new section of the Employment Law Manual, Hours Worked: South Carolina.
In addition, the following sections of the Employment Law Manual have been enhanced with comprehensive information about their Day of Rest laws:
- California;
- Connecticut;
- Georgia;
- Illinois;
- Kentucky;
- Maine;
- Maryland;
- Massachusetts;
- Missouri;
- New Hampshire;
- New York;
- North Dakota;
- Oklahoma;
- Rhode Island;
- Texas; and
- Wisconsin.
