Delaware Enacts Personal Social Media Law: Employment Law Manual and Chart Updated, Legal Timetable Added

Effective August 7, 2015, under a new Delaware law, an employer is prohibited from requesting or requiring an employee or applicant to disclose or provide access to a personal social media account, use personal social media as a condition of employment, alter the settings on a personal social media account or add a person including the employer to a list of contacts or accept an invitation to join a social media group.
