Employment Law Manual Updated to Reflect Supreme Court FLSA Ruling

The Hours Worked > Clothes-Changing or Washing Under a CBA section of the Employment Law Manual has been updated to include new information about what constitutes clothes under Section 203(o) of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The US Supreme Court on January 27 issued a ruling in the case Sandifer v. U.S. Steel Corp. that clothes are "items that are both designed and used to cover the body and are commonly regarded as articles of dress."
