Florida Permits Same-Sex Marriage: Employment Law Manual, Chart Updated

In 2014, two Florida courts ruled that the state's ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. Both decisions were stayed until early 2015. As of January 6, same-sex marriages could proceed throughout the state.

In light of this development, the LGBT Rights by State chart and the Florida FMLA and Health Care Benefits sections of the Employment Law Manual were updated.
