Georgia Amends Unemployment Insurance Law: Employment Law Manual Updated

Georgia has amended its unemployment insurance law. The amendments, which took effect upon approval by the governor in May, include:
- An updated definition of most recent employer;
- The addition of family violence as good cause for leaving work; and
- A statute of limitations for the Georgia Department of Labor to recover benefit overpayments.
