Maryland Enacts False Claims Act: Employment Law Manual Updated, Legal Timetable Entry Added

Maryland has enacted its version of the federal False Claims Act, which allows for a whistleblower to file a case on the government's behalf alleging fraud. The whistleblower may also reap a percentage of any recovery.

As a result, the Employment Law Manual Employee Discipline: Maryland section has been updated. In addition, a Legal Timetable entry has been added.
