Maryland to Prohibit Discrimination Against Interns: Employment Law Manual and Chart Updated, Legal Timetable Added

Under a new Maryland law enacted on April 14, 2015, and effective October 1, 2015, interns will be protected from discrimination in the workplace.
As a result of this development, the following sections of the Maryland Employment Law Manual have been updated:
- EEO - Discrimination
- EEO -Harassment
- EEO - Retaliation
- Employee Discipline;
- Performance Appraisals;
- Terms of Employment; and
- Interviewing and Selecting Job Candidates.
The EEO Protected Classes by State and Municipality Quick Reference Chart has also been updated, and an entry has been added to the Legal Timetable.
