Massachusetts Paid Sick Leave Final Regulations Released: Employment Law Manual Updated

The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office has released final regulations on the state's paid sick leave law, which took effect July 1, 2015. The regulations provide clarification and guidance on the following topics:

  • Employee eligibility;
  • Accrual and use of sick leave;
  • Employee notice and documentation requirements;
  • Employer recordkeeping requirements;
  • Retaliation; and
  • Interaction with other leave laws.

In light of this development, the Massachusetts Earned Sick Time Poster and the following Massachusetts sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated:
