Missouri Creditor Garnishment Law Changes Take Effect: Employment Law Manual Updated

Effective January 1, the Missouri creditor garnishment law now includes provisions regarding when an employer may stop withholding and remitting for a continuing wage garnishment and relating to priority of multiple garnishment orders. In addition, effective January 15, the maximum administrative fee that an employer may charge for processing a creditor garnishment has increased.

The Involuntary and Voluntary Pay Deductions: Missouri section of the Employment Law Manual has been updated with these changes.
