The City Council of Mountain View, California, amended its minimum wage ordinance on November 10.

Under the amended ordinance, the minimum wage in Mountain View will increase to $11.00 on January 1, 2016, to $13.00 on January 1, 2017, and to $15.00 on January 1, 2018. Staring on January 1, 2019, and on January 1 of every year thereafter, the Mountain View minimum wage will be adjusted for inflation by an amount corresponding to the increase, if any, in the Consumer Price Index (Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, U.S. City Average for All Items) during the prior year as of the preceding August, rounded to the nearest five cents.

New entries reflecting the amended minimum wage requirements have been added to the Legal Timetable.

In addition, the Minimum Wage: California section of the Employment Law Manual and the Minimum Wage Rates by State and Municipality chart have been updated.
