New Hampshire recently enacted the Paycheck Fairness Act, making significant amendments to New Hampshire law that will:
- Prohibit employers from discriminating or retaliating against employees who disclose their wages;
- Extend from one year to three years the statute of limitations for an individual to file an equal pay action; and
- Require employers to post notices about employees' equal pay rights.
The amendments take effect January 1, 2015.
In light of these developments, the New Hampshire EEO - Discrimination, EEO - Retaliation, Terms of Employment, Employee Discipline and Employee Communications sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated.
