The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Division of Wage and Hour Compliance on October 1 issued a notice that the state's minimum wage rate will increase from $8.25 to $8.38 on January 1, 2015. New Jersey's constitution requires that the minimum wage rate be adjusted annually for inflation, as measured by the change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers during the 12 months preceding the previous September.

New entries have been added to the Legal Timetable for 2015 and 2016. The Minimum Wage Rates by State and Municipality chart and the Minimum Wage: New Jersey section of the Employment Law Manual have been updated as well.
