New OFCCP Affirmative Action Rules: Employment Law Manual Updated

On March 24, new regulations took effect that strengthen the affirmative action requirements for federal contractors and subcontractors when it comes to hiring protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.

These Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) rules modify the compliance obligations for contractors and subcontractors under the Vietnam Era Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act by establishing annual hiring benchmarks and other important steps.
