New York Establishes Minimum Wage for Fast Food Employees: Employment Law Manual Updated, Legal Timetable Entries Added

New York's acting labor commissioner has ordered a new minimum wage for fast food employees, which will take effect December 31, 2015.

It will start at $10.50 for fast food employees in New York City and $9.75 for employees in the rest of New York State; over the next several years, the minimum wage for both groups will gradually rise to $15.00.
