New York to Raise Minimum Wage for Tipped Employees: Employment Law Manual Updated

Effective December 31, 2015, New York is establishing a uniform minimum cash wage for all tipped employees of $7.50, under an order recently issued by the acting commissioner of the state labor department.

The Minimum Wage: New York section of the Employment Law Manual and an entry in the Legal Timetable have been updated to reflect this development.
