Prepare for Collective Negotiations With a Union: New How To Added

Author: Melissa Gonzalez Boyce, XpertHR Legal Editor

The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) protects the rights of employees to organize and select a union in order to address issues regarding wages, hours and working conditions. In order to bargain effectively with a union, an employer must understand its legal obligations under the NLRA and properly prepare for negotiations to obtain an agreement on a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that satisfies its economic and operational needs.

A new How To has been added to the Labor Relations section to provide an employer with the various steps to follow so that it is prepared for the negotiating process.
