On July 2, 2013, the Obama administration announced that the implementation of the employer mandate and associated insurer reporting requirements under the Affordable Care Act was postponed from January 1, 2014 to January 1, 2015. As a result of this announcement, the following resources have been updated.
- Calculate Penalties Under the Affordable Care Act, found in the Tasks Tool;
- What Employers Should Know About the Affordable Care Act (ACA) located in the Legal Insight Tool;
- Determine if a Penalty Is Owed Under the Affordable Care Act, found in the LiveFlo Tool; and
- The Benefit Planning and Design section of the Employment Law Manual.
The delay in these requirements also necessitated changes to How to Determine Applicable Large Employer Status Under the Affordable Care Act, and the Health Care Reform Timeline.
These resources can also be found on the Health Care Reform Resource Center.
