Sections Updated to Include New Nevada Credit Check Law

The Nevada Preemployment Screening and Testing, Employment Offer, Negligent Hiring and Privacy Future Development sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated to reflect a new law that bans employers from using credit checks for employment purposes with only limited exceptions. The law takes effect October 1, 2013. XpertHR's Credit Checks: State Limitations Chart has also been updated.
