As a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), new compliance requirements will go into effect within the next year. In this podcast, XpertHR Legal Editor Tracy Morley brings employers fully up to speed on the ACA. Morley has more than 25 years' experience as an HR professional encompassing multiple disciplines.

Significant health care changes over the last three years include the extension of dependent coverage to age 26; changes in how FSA's are administered and more. But the biggest changes are yet to come with new requirements kicking in by 2014. Morley said, "Employers have an enormous opportunity to reassess their current benefit strategies in terms of benefit plan eligibility and benefit plan options in light of the health care reform requirements."

Other key topics addressed include an in-depth explanation of the Pay or Play requirements; the biggest challenges facing employers under the Act; and whether health care costs will rise because of the ACA.
