West Virginia Minimum Wage Increases: New Legal Timetables Added, Various Other Documents Updated

West Virginia's governor on April 1 signed a new law that will raise the state minimum wage to $8.00 on January 1, 2015, and to $8.75 on January 1, 2016, and raise the proportion of the minimum wage that may be claimed as a tip credit on June 6, 2014.

Three new entries have been added to the Legal Timetable (for 2014, 2015 and 2016). In addition, the chart Minimum Wage Rates by State and Municipality and the Minimum Wage: West Virginia, Employee Classification: West Virginia and Overtime: West Virginia sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated.
