Wisconsin Supreme Court Clarifies Enforceability of Restrictive Covenants: Employment Law Manual Updated

The Wisconsin Supreme Court recently ruled in Runzheimer Int'l, Ltd. v. Friedlen that continued employment of an existing at-will employee is adequate consideration (i.e., an exchange of promises) supporting the enforcement of a restrictive covenant.

As a result of this decision, the Terms of Employment: Wisconsin and Employee Communications: Wisconsin sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated.
