XpertHR Introduces New Litigation Prevention Resources

XpertHR proudly introduces its newest litigation prevention tools: the Periodic Acknowledgement Form and the Letter to Employees Introducing Periodic Acknowledgement Program.

These resources should be customized and completed by all employees in an organization at regular intervals, along with employee evaluations, employee opinion surveys or year-end feedback programs. The Periodic Acknowledgement Form asks employees to acknowledge a series of provisions regarding their experiences in the workplace, including:

  • Whether the employee was promised employment tenure or increased compensation;
  • Whether the employee has read and understood the provisions of the employee handbook;
  • Whether the employee has experienced any unlawful or improper behavior in the workplace (e.g., theft, wasteful practices or safety violations); and
  • Whether the employee has experienced or witnessed any incidents of harassment, discrimination or retaliation.

By proactively seeking this information from employees and properly maintaining that information, an employer can improve its chances of successfully defending against employee lawsuits.
