Emergency Responder Leave Handbook Statement: Tennessee

Any employee who serves as a volunteer firefighter or a volunteer rescue squad worker may be late to or absent from work to respond to an emergency that occurred prior to the time the employee was scheduled to report to work. Time off will be unpaid, except that exempt employees may be paid, as required by applicable law.
