Military Leave Handbook Statement: New Jersey

In addition to the military leave rights set forth in the National Handbook, New Jersey employees who leave full-time or part-time employment to perform military service will be reinstated to their previous position, or one of like seniority status and pay, upon return. For purposes of this policy, "military service" means duty by any person in the active military service of the United States and active duty in the military service of the State ordered by the Governor, as well as National Guard active duty ordered by a Governor of any other state.
