Military Leave Handbook Statement: New Jersey
In addition to the military leave rights set forth in the National Handbook, New Jersey employees who leave full- or part-time employment to perform military service will be reinstated to their previous position, or one of like seniority status and pay, upon return. For purposes of this policy, "military service" means duty by any person in the active military service of the United States and active duty in the military service of the state under an order of the Governor. Employees (other than temporary employees) who leave their job to perform military service generally are eligible for reinstatement if they:
