Updated statement and guidance to reflect amendments to Ohio law regarding the use of electronic wireless communications devices while driving, effective April 3, 2023.
Florida employers should consider including this statement in their handbook to show their compliance with Florida's Ban on Texting While Driving Law, to promote driving safety, and to limit liability from accidents involving employees who are driving and using electronic devices for work-related purposes or while driving a company-owned vehicle.
All New York employers are required by law to include an airborne infectious disease prevention plan in their handbook if the employer maintains a handbook. New York employers can fulfill this legal requirement by completing and adding the New York State Department of Labor's Model Airborne Infectious Disease Exposure Prevention Plan as an addendum to their handbook.
