  • The Maryland Fair Employment Practices Act (FEPA) prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or disability unrelated to job performance.   • Remedies under FEPA can include compensatory and punitive damages as well as attorneys' fees. There are statutory caps on damages based on the employer's size. See Remedies.
