Summary

  • Alabama law has provisions for the recordkeeping of documents related to child labor. See Recordkeeping Requirements for Child Labor.
  • Alabama employers that hire minors also are required to post printed notices stating the maximum number of hours persons under 19 may be permitted to work on each day of the week. See Communications in Postings Required by Alabama Law.
  • Documents relating to disciplinary actions against state employees must be supplied to the employee within 10 days of its inclusion in the personnel file. Also, education employees have the right to review their personnel files. See Requirements for Public Employers.
