  • Indiana does not currently require state family and medical leave for employees of private sector employers. However, private sector employers are required to provide leave for employees who have a spouse, parent, grandparent, child or sibling who is called to active military service that exceeds 89 consecutive calendar days.   • Covered employers must provide eligible employees up to 10 days of unpaid military family leave per year. See Indiana Family Military Leave.
