  • Iowa does not currently require state family and medical leave for employees of private sector employers. See Family and Medical Leave.
  • Iowa requires that any policies or practices regarding disability leave be applied to pregnancy disability leave as well. For some employers, pregnancy disability leave is required if temporary disability policies are considered inadequate. See Pregnancy Disability Leave.
