  • Tennessee employers with 100 or more full-time permanent employees may be required to provide eligible employees with up to four months of leave for the pregnancy, childbirth, adoption or nursing of an infant. See Covered Employers.
  • Eligible employees may take up to four months of leave for adoption, pregnancy, childbirth and nursing of an infant. See Length and Purpose of Leave.
  • If the employee gives three months' notice of the anticipated departure date, length of leave and their intention to return to employment after leave, the employer must restore the employee to the same or similar position (with the same status, pay, length of service credit and seniority) upon return from leave.
