- Employees in Mississippi who are not eligible for health care continuation under federal COBRA law may have rights to continued health coverage under the state's insurance laws.
- Insurers issuing group health insurance policies in Mississippi must provide for continuation of benefits in certain instances. Mississippi's insurance laws contain a requirement that certain group policies issued to cover employees not covered by federal COBRA law must provide continuation coverage for up to 12 months.
