  • North Carolina's continuation coverage law applies to fully insured plans covering two or more employees, regardless of the size of the employer. See North Carolina Continuation Coverage Law.
  • The maximum period for continuation coverage under North Carolina's continuation coverage law is 18 months. See Period of Continuation Coverage.
  • Continuation is not required to include dental, vision or prescription drug benefits. See Benefits Not Included.
  • Group policies generally must include a conversion provision. See Conversion.
