Summary

  • Private employees are afforded the protections and rights of the National Labor Relations Act. Kansas also has the Kansas Employer and Employee Relations Act which provides similar rights to private employees. See Union Organization.
  • Agricultural employees are permitted to unionize and collectively bargain under Kansas law. See Agricultural Employees.
  • Kansas is a "right-to-work" state which means employers cannot force employees to join or refuse to join employee organizations. See Right to Work.
