  • Kentucky sits directly on the border between the southern states that have unanimously enacted "Right to Work" legislation and northern states who have rejected similar legislation. See Right to Work Legislation.
  • The right of most private sector employees to engage in protected and concerted, or union activity, is governed by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). However, Kentucky legislation provides protection to those private sector employees whom the NLRA does not explicitly cover or those whom the National Labor Relations Board chooses not to protect.
