Summary

  • The Florida Uniformed Servicemembers Protection Act (FUSPA) incorporates the employment protections of both the federal Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. See Florida Military Leave.
  • Florida employers may not terminate or otherwise discriminate against any individual due to his or her leave of absence to serve in the US armed forces. See Florida Military Leave.
  • A Florida employer with 15 or more employees must provide eligible employees with up to 15 days of unpaid leave per year for the purpose of participating in a Civil Air Patrol training or mission. See Civil Air Patrol Leave.
