  • Rhode Island provides leave and reinstatement rights to National Guard members, US military reservists and veterans of the US armed forces. See Rhode Island Military Leave.
  • Employers with 15 or more employees must provide time off to an employee whose child or spouse is on active military duty. See Family Military Leave.
  • Public employees called to active duty are entitled to the difference between the base pay for state employment that the state employee would have received if not on active military duty and the military pay that the employee on active military duty did receive, for the same time period.
