Yes. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services requires employers to use the most up-to-date version of the Form I-9. Employers could face civil penalties, ranging from $216 to $2,156, for not using the newest Form I-9 dated 11/14/2016 N for each new hire beginning January 22, 2017.
