How can an HR manager ensure that an employer does not lose the benefit of the employment at-will status?

In order to preserve the at-will employment relationship, an HR manager should incorporate clear and prominent at-will employment notices and disclaimers in the new hire and other paperwork. The disclaimer should be unambiguously written and plainly appear in all job applications, offer letters, employment policies, and employee handbooks/manuals. Furthermore, an employer should request that all employees sign an acknowledgement confirming their understanding of the at-will employment relationship.
