How much is the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute fee?

For plan or policy years that ended before October 1, 2013, the fee was $1 multiplied by the average number of lives covered under the policy or plan.

For plan or policy years that ended on or after October 1, 2013, but before October 1, 2014, the fee was $2 multiplied by the average number of lives covered under the policy or plan.

For plan or policy years that ended on or after October 1, 2014, but before October 1, 2015, the fee was $2.08 multiplied by the average number of lives covered under the policy or plan.

For policy or plan years ending on or after October 1, 2015, but before October 1, 2016. The fee is $2.17 multiplied by the average number of lives covered under the policy or plan.

For policy or plan years that end after September 30, 2015, but before October 1, 2019, the fee is adjusted to reflect inflation in national health expenditures, as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
