Which employees are protected by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)?

The NLRA defines employee as any employee employed by an employer except those individuals employed as an agricultural laborer, in domestic service of any family or person at his or her home, any individual employed by his or her parent or spouse, any independent contractor, any supervisor, or any individual employed by an employer subject to the Railway Labor Act.
