How to Conduct a Safety Self-Audit or Self-Inspection

An employer can conduct self-audits and self-inspections in order to ensure its workplace is a safe environment for staff and is free from hazards. Performing self-audits and self-inspections is an important part of maintaining a safe workplace. Just as important as the findings from the audits and inspections is what is done with the results. An employer must follow through and correct issues and violations found in the audits and inspections. Follow through, and documentation of that follow-through, is imperative to keeping employees and their environment safe. Here is how to conduct a proper safety self-audit or self-inspection:
