Connecticut to Amend Paid Sick Leave Law

Effective January 1, 2015, employer coverage under Connecticut's paid sick leave law will be determined annually based on the number of employees on the payroll as of October 1. The amended law defines year as any 365-day period used by an employer to calculate employee benefits. An employer may not terminate or transfer an employee solely to avoid qualifying as a covered employer under the amended law. Finally, the amended law adds radiologic technologists to the list of covered employees.
