Cook County, Illinois, Minimum Wage Is Adjusted for Inflation
On June 7, 2021, Cook County corrected a previously issued poster and announced that the minimum wage would remain $13.00 on July 1, 2021, because the unemployment rate was greater than 8.5% in 2020. Cook County also announced that the minimum direct cash wage is $6.60 in alignment with the state minimum wage. As a result, the maximum tip credit is $6.40.
