New York Paid Family Leave Benefits Rate Increases to 60%

Beginning January 1, 2020, employees are eligible to receive 10 weeks of paid family leave (PFL) benefits during any 52-week calendar period at 60% of their average weekly wage, up from 55%.
Employees who have worked at least 26 consecutive weeks are eligible for PFL benefits for:
- Caring for a family member with a serious health condition;
- Bonding with a newborn baby or a newly adopted or fostered child; or
- A qualifying exigency related to a family member's active military service.
Beginning January 1, 2021, employees receive 12 weeks at 67%.
