Tennessee Requires Garnishment Withholding From Non-Employee Payments

Tennessee amended its creditor garnishment law to include non-employee payments, such as payments made to an agent or independent contractor, within the payment types that are subject to withholding to satisfy a creditor garnishment order, effective September 1, 2016.
